Ever Thought About Becoming A Photographer?

If you’re following me, you likely have an appreciation of photography. Join the club! I am passionate about capturing precious moments in my own life and in their lives of my clients through photography. I love telling stories through my lens and it’s crazy to think it’s been 15 years since I made the leap and started my photography business, at just 24 years old!

Lately, I've been toying with the idea of creating an entry-level photography course. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes over my career in photography and I’ve learned so much along the way, I think I could help budding photographers to shorten that learning curve and get the head start they need in the industry! But before I dive in, I wanted to reach out to all of you and see if there is any interest.

Have you ever thought about becoming a photographer yourself? Whether it's capturing your own family moments, exploring a new hobby or potentially pursuing an exciting new career, I'd love to hear from you!

There are so many areas of photography to choose from: wedding, brand, sport, editorial, food, lifestyle, fashion, travel… the list goes on! I was first attracted to photography because it gave me a hugely rewarding creative outlet. I knew I needed to stretch those muscles and at that time the job I had fallen into wasn’t in that field. Do you feel like you have a creativity inside you that your life just doesn’t afford you the time or opportunity to explore?

To help you consider this, I’ve highlighted some of the benefits I enjoy being a self-employed photographer:

Personal Benefits

  1. Creative Freedom: You get to explore and express your unique artistic vision. There are no limits to how you can capture the world around you!

  2. Flexible Schedule: As your own boss, you set your own hours. This allows you to balance your work with personal life and family time.

  3. Personal Fulfillment: Seeing the joy on clients' faces when you deliver their photos is incredibly rewarding. You are helping to capture and preserve some of their most cherished moments.

Professional Benefits

  1. Diverse Opportunities: Photography offers a variety of niches you can specialise in and this diversity adds excitement to your work.

  2. Control Over Projects: You have the autonomy to choose your projects and clients, giving you full control over your business direction.

  3. Potential for Growth: As you build your portfolio and reputation, there is unlimited potential for growth, both creatively and financially.

  4. Embracing Technology: The field of photography is continuously evolving with new technology, which keeps the profession dynamic and exciting.

Your feedback matters and I’d love to hear from you…

If you love to take pictures and consider yourself to be pretty handy with a camera, would you consider taking your passion for photography and turning it into a profitable business with flexible working hours to support a healthy work/life integration?

If you’d be interested in an entry-level photography course, please feel free to message me directly and let me know what sort of information you’d be interested in receiving. Your feedback will help guide me in deciding whether to produce this course and connect with those of you who share this passion!

Thank you so much for your ongoing support and for helping me explore this potential new venture.
