Whether it’s a short time or a lifetime, it is a precious time that deserves to be celebrated with a couple photo session.
During my 11 years as a wedding photographer, I clocked up a LOT of engagement photoshoots and do you know what? I grew to really love them! Documenting the beginning of a couple’s journey together at that moment when they’re on the verge of really committing to each other is quite something.
Many of the couples I worked with lived in London, where they’d built an incredible bank of memories and this photoshoot marked a culmination of that season in their lives. Things were about to change. They were getting married and many had plans to move out of the city and begin a family of their own.
That period of time when you first get to know each other is special and absolutely worth documenting with timeless photographs captured on film. Because if all goes to plan and you’re able to invite little people into your world, there may be a few years where you don’t find time to look each other in the eye!
