Since the city of Volubilis was abandoned in the 11th Century, its classical architecture has crumbled into historic follies punctuating a rich garden landscape rewilded by Mother Nature herself.

I can’t believe it’s 5 years since we took the Normandy veterans to RHS Chelsea! In 2019 the veterans’ charity I co-founded with my father in 2009 presented a beautiful garden which celebrated the story of D-Day veterans ahead of the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Landings. The garden received huge media attention and gave our treasured veterans a platform and a legacy from which to tell their story.

My First Garden

After years of saving, my dream of owning my own home came true when I was 26 years old! I bought a tired Victorian end-terrace house in a quiet village and I was immediately excited to bring it into the 21st Century and make it my own. The thing about a first home is that it often comes with a first garden. What took me completely by surprise was the extent to which this modest outdoor space captured my imagination and became the happy place I shared with my first Spaniel baby.
