Raising Families

Your baby isn’t a baby any longer. Instead they’re asking you endless questions, turning your sofa into a fort and dressing up as a different Disney character every day of the week!

Or is that just me?! I feel like I’m at the very beginning of this big adventure called childhood, yet I’m already terrified in the knowledge that it will be over before I know it. We are at the centre of our childrens’ world for such a brief time. And in that time we have an opportunity to create a magical era of fun and innocence and exploration as a safe foundation on which they can build the rest of their lives.

This era is made up of a series of beautiful moments; some big, some small. Some will become happy memories and some will inevitably be lost in time. Most will go unrecorded.

The responsibility falls to us as parents to document our childrens’ youth in photographs, which often means we are in very few pictures ourselves. I’m passionate about capturing the connection between parent and child, just as much as I am about photographing the child themselves.

I want to encourage Mums to step into the frame and exist beautifully and proudly in their family story.

I love to capture moments of interaction. I’ll artfully capture the quiet moments you spend reading a story together or whispering secrets and the loud moments of tickling or playing chase! I’ll take a few of your most precious moments with your kids and record them for you… creating photographs you love enough to hang on your wall.
