Mother & Daughter Portraits
Lesli and Mamie came to London from their home in USA for a girls’ only adventure! I loved taking their picture whilst they were in town as it was obvious they were having the most gorgeous quality time together. Now that I’m lucky enough to have two daughters of my own I’m even more keenly aware of how important this one on one time would have been for them both.
Just the act of planning this adventure and investing time, energy and money in real quality time with her daughter, spoke volumes to me about the deep love Lesli felt for Mamie. Meeting her face to face for the first time with camera in hand, I very quickly recognised that this was a lady who understood that time is the most valuable commodity we have and that photography was an investment which would only appreciate with each passing year.
These portraits were captured in Spring 2014 - a decade ago! To me they look as fresh as the day I delivered them to Lesli and Mamie and that’s the beauty of film. Digital editing styles come and go, but these photographs are colour correct, bright, clean and as close to timeless as it’s possible to get in the world of photography.
If you’d like to bank a beautiful collection of portraits on film to live on in your family archives, then get in touch. I’d love to help you do just that!
