It had always been this Mum’s dream to take her entire family to France and in October 2016 they travelled 5000 miles from Washington State to make that dream a reality! Travelling to the beautiful Burgundy countryside and giving this sweet family a collection of portraits I know they’ll treasure for years to come was a joy.

What can you expect from a newborn family photo session with me? Well… no crazy poses and no dressing up. My photographs are all about honest story-telling. I want to capture your family exactly as you are as you embark on this new chapter together. I’ll photograph you in your home, because that’s where life happens with a newborn. If that home reflects the inevitable whirlwind of chaos and adjustment then so be it, because it’s also where the love and devotion to this tiny human is building day by day.

Back when I was shooting weddings, I photographed a lot of engagement sessions. Many were in London as couples wanted to capture this moment in their journey together when it was just the two of them making their way in the big city! They were aware that with a wedding fast approaching, they were growing up. Perhaps there would be children, perhaps they would move back home or start a new adventure together somewhere else.

Lesli and Mamie came to London from their home in USA for a girls’ only adventure! I loved taking their picture whilst they were in town as it was obvious they were having the most gorgeous quality time together. Now that I’m lucky enough to have two daughters of my own I’m even more keenly aware of how important this one on one time would have been for them both.
