Mother Nature’s Garden at Volubilis
I have something a bit different for you this week… a collection of photographs one of the most beautiful locations in Morocco, all captured on film with my Leica M6 and my faithful Contax 645.
Since the city of Volubilis was abandoned in the 11th Century, its classical architecture has crumbled into historic follies punctuating a rich garden landscape rewilded by Mother Nature herself.
It’s the End of an Era!
Ahead of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, I reflect back on 15 years working with Normandy veterans in the charity I co-founded with my Dad. D-Day Revisited has been an enormous part of my life, but as many surviving veterans mark their 100th birthdays the charity has performed its final duty with a grand send-off dinner bidding them bon voyage as the country they liberated in 1944 for the last time.

The D-Day 75 Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show
I can’t believe it’s 5 years since we took the Normandy veterans to RHS Chelsea! In 2019 the veterans’ charity I co-founded with my father in 2009 presented a beautiful garden which celebrated the story of D-Day veterans ahead of the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Landings. The garden received huge media attention and gave our treasured veterans a platform and a legacy from which to tell their story.

My First Garden
After years of saving, my dream of owning my own home came true when I was 26 years old! I bought a tired Victorian end-terrace house in a quiet village and I was immediately excited to bring it into the 21st Century and make it my own. The thing about a first home is that it often comes with a first garden. What took me completely by surprise was the extent to which this modest outdoor space captured my imagination and became the happy place I shared with my first Spaniel baby.

Beach Family Photographs Captured on Film
Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to coincide our annual holiday in Cornwall with a family photo shoot. What could be better than photographing families as they explore beaches, paddle in the sea and well… play? And where do families play better together than at the seaside?

5 Reasons to Print Your Photos
In today’s digital age, smartphones and social media platforms dominate the way we capture and share moments. We are taking photographs like never before, but the art of actually printing them seems to have taken a back seat.
We consume images at a rate of knots, but how often do we pause and really look? Have we lost anything in switching paper for screens? Does it even matter? Read on for five reasons why I believe printing your photos is more important than ever…

A Photographic Study of the Jardin Majorelle
Morocco has my heart. I visited once in 2018 and completely fell in love with the country. I know I’m not the only one. Morocco has inspired visitors for centuries, including well-known artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Henri Matisse, Bob Marley and the creator of the extraordinary Majorelle Garden…
A Natural Approach to Newborn Photography
What can you expect from a newborn family photo session with me? Well… no crazy poses and no dressing up. My photographs are all about honest story-telling. I want to capture your family exactly as you are as you embark on this new chapter together. I’ll photograph you in your home, because that’s where life happens with a newborn. If that home reflects the inevitable whirlwind of chaos and adjustment then so be it, because it’s also where the love and devotion to this tiny human is building day by day.

Romantic Couple Portraits in London’s Holland Park
Back when I was shooting weddings, I photographed a lot of engagement sessions. Many were in London as couples wanted to capture this moment in their journey together when it was just the two of them making their way in the big city! They were aware that with a wedding fast approaching, they were growing up. Perhaps there would be children, perhaps they would move back home or start a new adventure together somewhere else.

Mother & Daughter Portraits
Lesli and Mamie came to London from their home in USA for a girls’ only adventure! I loved taking their picture whilst they were in town as it was obvious they were having the most gorgeous quality time together. Now that I’m lucky enough to have two daughters of my own I’m even more keenly aware of how important this one on one time would have been for them both.
